I began my journey to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) 20 years ago, after my first massage experience. Working in a fast-paced physical environment, I was amazed by the significant relief in muscle tension I felt, as well as the calming and relaxed state of my mind.
This led me to explore more modalities in natural healthcare in the subsequent years, which instilled a deep sense of accountability for my personal health and wellness.
As my passion grew, I knew I wanted to be part of the natural health industry that had helped me so much. Acupuncture and massage proved to be the most effective modalities for pain relief and supporting the immune system.
After completing my massage therapy training, I took Tuina massage (a modality based on Traditional Chinese medicine theory) as continuing education in my first year of practice. I then went on to complete all the Eastern massage classes at the College of Integrative & Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I now apply Tuina techniques and theories in combination with Swedish/Western massage when working with clients. My goal is to address their chief complaints and provide them with tools to improve their overall wellness.
