Compression Stockings

Why would someone need compression socks?
The main culprit for someone needing to utilize compression socks is due to Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI). CVI occurs when the venous wall and/or valves in the leg veins are not working effectively, making it difficult for the blood to return to the heart from the legs. Venous insufficiency is more common in women than in men. With over 50% of adults at risk of developing chronic venous disorders, it is important to recognize and manage the symptoms, as early diagnosis is critical.
